The Country Gardens 2-Tier Solar-on Demand Fountain and Birdbath is made from lightweight resin with a weathered stone finish. The two turtles sit on the bowl's edge. Using state of the art solar panel and solar pump technology, power is supplied to the fountain from natural outdoor sun and light. The solar panel is built in, residing in the water basin itself. The 6-volt solar pump in the bottom of the basin, beneath the built-in solar panel, continuously circulates the water up through the center spout, creating water movement and gentle babbling water sounds over both tiers. 
The solar-on-demand allows you to choose when you want your fountain on using the easy on/off switch on the solar panel. You can operate it daily using the battery technology for consistent performance even in cloudy conditions, or leave your fountain off, charging the batteries for use when you want it, even at night. **OUT OF DARK COPPER**

On the solar powered mode, the fountain will run directly from solar energy; however, the pump will only work in bright and sunny conditions. On the battery mode, you can power your fountain for up to 4 hours on cloudy days or at night. When the battery power is depleted, the system will automatically change back to solar powered mode and start again when there is sufficient sunlight. You can operate it daily using the battery technology for consistent performance, or leave your fountain off, charging the batteries for use when you want it, even at night. The battery will power your fountain for up to 4 hours. In addition, the fountain spout is outlined by 4 LED lights which will make the water glow when the sun goes down! Enjoy the beauty of a solar fountain without the inconveniences!

Note: Each fountain may vary in color as no two are exactly the same color.

The lifespan of a battery is generally between 12-18 months, but with repeated charges and discharge cycles the battery's capacity will reduce. If the battery does appear less efficient you can boost charge it by turning it off  for 2-3 sunny days to achieve maximum charge.  If the boost charge does not help the battery than you will need to replace it.  Open the battery cover on the back of the solar panel and replace the batteries with 4 standard AA size rechargeable batteries.
